Well guys, I got pretty pissed for the past week. I asked many mods to sticky this thread and I'll keep updating it. Well instead they decide to flood the forum with 3489529357 stickys and my thread that was very useful is now -blam!-. This was made to be much easier than searching the forums for bugs, now they made many threads where now they need to search through all the thousands of posts. So I don't know if I should update this anymore or let it die.

For people talking about the Opportunist medal, check your online medal chest. It is not the same as ingame/doesn't work the way listed.I see what you mean but most of you are misunderstanding the post.

Visual/HUD Bugs

-When a player if killed during a Team Game, their body may morph colors where their primary is their team color and their secondary is the enemies. Not a major problem but still a bug.

-Sometimes during 1 Flag CTF, when a player dies carrying a flag and a host migration occurs, it may cause the flag to duplicate and 2 Flags are then in play (Both act as normal flags/count to the score)

-When using Armor Lock to its full capacity, the player may enter a state where they enter/exit/enter/exit repetitively as if they were tapping the Armor Ability button.

-Sometimes during StockPile the icon for a/the flag(s) will turn into every objective icon. Instead of the Flag icon it would be Flag,Bomb,Territory,Territory Locked,1,2,4,5,6,7,8,King of the Hill, etc all above the one Flag.

-When a player presses the X button to cooldown the Plasma Repeater and throws a grenade during the cooldown process the grenade will fly out of nothing.

-When using the DMR and looking straight down with it during split screen play, the end of the stock becomes non-existent.

-After booting a player for betrayals, the betrayal screen will stay up until you press "B"

-Sometimes, when you switch weapons or pick up a new one, it will show the new weapon with the ammo counter of the previous or they overlap. Ex: Holding DMR, pick up rockets, shows rocket as having 12 shots. Ex2: Switch DMR to Grav Hammer and it shows the 12 shots blended with energy bar.

-As an Elite, you hold the Plasma Pistol, you hold it with two hands. When you evade, you use one hand. Just a little odd.

-When betrayed at anytime besides after you are hurt by an enemy, it causes it to count as a point for the enemy and show up as "*Enemy GT* killed *Betrayed Teammate* with grenade" Even if there was no grenade involved.

-There is no real medal for Hail to the King.

-You cannot edit the name of saved films/pictures. Ex. Picture is saved as "Doubl Kill" you go to rename it to "Double Kill" to add the "E" but you cannot.

-When a guest signs in, they have Armor that you need to buy. They come with it auto-equipped.

-Players receive a "Close Call!" for double beat downs. (You and your opponent die from melees.)

-Players will receive a "Revenge!" and no status text saying anything about a kill.

-Jeff, the announcer doesn't say Killionaire! Everything but that Multikill medal.

-When looking at certain areas in theater, they tend to disappear but are there at a different viewing angle or sometimes in a picture. *Not major, just an annoying thing.*

-Map names may sometimes be shown as incorrect. Ex. Sword base is names Powerhouse.

-When playing split screen, callouts do not show up at all on the HUD.

-The Reticule in split screen is too small along with reticule bloom makes this really bad.

-When there is status text in 4-player split screen, it can reach the reticule which seems too large.

-Credit screen does not appear when playing split screen.

-Announcer says "Territory Lost" as many times as there are split screen players. Ex. 4 screens = 4 times.

Gameplay/Potential Game Breaking Bugs

-Sometimes a player is able to walk around while being assassinated and can kill their killer before he finishes the assassination and not dying from it.

-Sometimes during 1 Flag CTF, when a player dies carrying a flag and a host migration occurs, it may cause the flag to duplicate and 2 Flags are then in play (Both act as normal flags/count to the score) *This goes for both*

-This may be intended or not but when you enter the "Vote for your gametype" stage, all votes are already selecting the first selection.

-When a player drops a flag off during stockpile, another player can pick it up and drop it back off and get the points while the real player to drop it off receives nothing.

-When a game leaves a host migration, the next kill is a "First Strike" and that player is awarded with it.

-When a player kills a flag carrier, they are awarded with a "Flag Kill" medal.

-When a player kills someone reloading by any means, they get "Opportunist" when that medal is when you kill them with only a head shot or melee attack.

-Picking up a flag as it is scored during Stockpile removes your weapon, and you cannot pick up other weapons or melee. Picking up a neutral flag may or may not fix this.

-When a player melees an enemy and misses, the enemy will be hurt/killed if they walk into the player before he melees again. (It acts as the chainsaw from GoW sorta.)

-When a player kills an enemy or finishes a spree in a Hill, they are awarded the medal. Sometimes legitimately doing the req. you do not receive it.

-When a player is mid assassination and a host migration occurs, upon resuming the two players may enter a dark box outside of the gameplay area but are put back onto the map when the assassination is over.

-After a round ends, killing/betraying counts unlike in Halo 3. Medals are awarded such as double kills, revenge, etc. Can cause player to be booted for betraying. This was our celebration, not anymore.

-Leaving a game before it ends does nothing to you or your stats such as you don't get a win or loss.

-When a player picks up their flag, they may be able to score on their own base.

-Sometimes the shotgun will have no ammo but will continue to be able to be shot. There may be no damage caused from them though, not yet proven.

-Players may commit suicide out of no where during assassinations. Very rare but occurs.

-When host migrates, players will sometimes either change to default armor mid game or have no ability at all.

-When a player is standing on or hovering above a ledge, performing an assassination may result into the person being assassinated would be pulled down, but does not die. Sometimes left unable to move and has no shields.

-Sometimes a player will be able to hit enemies through walls.

-Sometimes the Radar will say an enemy is on your level when they are not or they are not when they are.

-When playing split screen and one person uses Active Camo, the audio for everyone is cut out.

-Parties larger than 4 with split screen-ers may end up on opposite teams.

-When playing split screen, the pause menu pauses everyone not just the person to press it.

-When you capture a territory, it says "Territory Lost!"

If you're posting suggestions, please do not repeat, this means about the AR and the Nades. Things like how to make matchmaking better or how to make the game smoother will make it on the list, however, opinion related ones will most likely not. Sorry, just trying to clean up this thread a little so I can update more efficiently.

Other than those quick notes, here we go!

Visual/HUD Bugs

-When you "Evade" while zoomed in, you roll without a HUD zoomed in.

-When viewed in Third Person, Spartans don't have knee armor, while in first person they do.

-Sometimes after Matchmaking, Connection settings may reset.

-When you view social settings, the "Good Time" selection under "Motivation" is cut off description wise.

-When players finish games, it does not add to the wins/played amount, even games after.

-When a player has the jetpack ability and dies, it disappears off their corpse.

-When a player kills/dies, it may show up in the status feed twice which may clog up the necessary details.

-When a player activates the "Active Camo" and has a sword with energy left, the outline of the energy sword part is non-existent, makes it look like you're holding just the baton.

-On the B.net medal case, the Fist Medal is for Beatdowns, and Ninja Medal for Assassinations where as in-game, the Fist is for pummeled, Ninja is for Beatdowns and Assassinations do not have a medal.

-When a player picks up the Needler Rifle, their screen besides the HUD will change to bright pink.

-When viewing a specific player in the carnage report, their spartan will change to the person's below them if some one above them leaves the match.

-When a player changes their service tag to include a ">" it then makes the form of a "[".

-When a player receives a "Perfection" they do not show up on the carnage report nor on B.net's medal chest.

-When a player has the jetpack as a AA and is holding a Flag, their back goes through the jetpack.

-When a player is at the load out screen, the classes may be switched from their last position. Example-Sprint,AL,JP,AC to AL,JP,Sprint,AC.

-Under the carnage report, when a player goes negative K/D/R wise, there is a "-" but when positive there is nothing. This may confuse players.

-The Flag Captured and Flag Returned status updates are not capitalized unlike other status updates.

-When a player has one shoulder armor on, both may appear on in theater.

-When a Juggernaut is changed, the icon over the players head will be the Oddball icon for a brief time.

-If your language is set to Japanese, the objective text for Stockpile overflows past the red/blue rectangle.

-In the carnage report, there are no objective based stats, like flag captures.

-In the carnage report, it only shows which medals the player received but not how many of them.

Gameplay/Potential Game Breaking Bugs

-On Sword Base, there are areas Spartans can reach but Elites cannot go into the spots due to their height.

-When a player places in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th place in FFA, they get Victory Bonus Credits but have a loss counted toward their record.

-When armor is purchased, it has a chance to re-lock and not give the cR back as a "refund". (Has been happening Pre-Launch, not lag)

-Players can sometimes receive "Close Call" when at a distance and full health, shields. Probable cause, your teammate was low and they assisted.

-Sometimes when a grenade is in mid air, it may zig-zag off course.

-Sticky Grenades tend to go through solid objects and player's models.

-If a player is low on shields and a host migration occurs, their shields will NOT regenerate until death.

-When a match ends, cR earned may actually deduct from total cR in bank.

-Some players cannot use their file share nor others.

-During HeadHunter, when a player walks right over skulls, they tend to not be picked up.

-During HeadHunter, players sometimes cannot drop off their skulls at the point.

-During voting screen, if the voting is tied between an objective gametype and slayer, the objective gametype wins.

-When a flag is dropped, it can stop a rocket.

-When a player fires a Grenade Launcher round and dies, it does not explode.

-When a player melee attacks twice with the Rocket Launcher, the rocket(s) after that is a (are) blank(s).

-When a player finishes a match, the cR they earn may be +1 yet their total will not increase.

-When a player activates their Armor Lock, they may never go into their hold position and continue to function like normal.

-When playing Oddball, the skull may morph under solid ground thus resulting in waiting for it to reset.

-When playing split screen, who ever makes the first selection is counted, the other players on the same TV cannot vote.

-When an elite player dies mid assassination, they may drop a fully working energy sword.

-When a game ends in a tie, Red Team will always get the win.

-The last kill in a kill dependent gametype doesn't count, for example, Team Slayer adds up to 49 not 50 in the carnage report.

-When a player kills another player who previously carried flag but not anymore, they will receive the medal for it.

-When host migration occurs of Powerhouse, the Grenade Launcher may spawn as a shotgun.

-When a player sprints off a ledge, they may have no fall damage.

-When a grenade is thrown into the stairs wall on Sword Base, it is sucked in and nothing will happen. Video is here.

-When a player is holding the Energy Sword, they may drop the sword and switch to an Assault Rifle even if they don't have one.

-When a player is underneath (level below) another player and shoot a rocket upwards, the damage goes through the floor.

-When a player is assassinated, their body may stand back up and become alive again and they will be able to play as if they didn't die.

-When a player is in the active camo mode, their radar may not show any "phantom dots."

-The Grenade Launcher may double reload when a live round is already loaded.

This is the Improvements area. Anything that may enhance the game play positively will be here.

Things that could improve the gameplay of Reach
-The cross hairs/bloom hairs on most weapons are too small and can hurt players eyes from straining them. Changing the color of it will do amazing.

-Bumper Jumper players are put at a disadvantage with Armor Abilities. This caused me to switch back to default.

-When using the Sprint Armor Ability, the player will jump further than normal, especially when going off a gravity lift (such as the one on Sword Base and can reach the higher level)
*NOTE THIS MAY BE INTENDED*

-The enemy's icons for Stockpile are shown as your teams colors and viceversa. This can cause new people to be confused or even players that know about it(forgot and run to wrong base).

-Reticule Bloom needs a very big improvement.

-To many players, grenades cause too much damage with a too big of a radius.

-The DMR is too underpowered for the job its intended to do. Either increase Damage, Increase clip cap. or increase firerate.

-Motion Blur causes players to recieve headaches. (Players are in well lit room and plays other games fine. Only this one they have problems with.)

-Limit the announcer. We all love Jeff but hearing SKULL TAKEN SKULL TASKULL SKULL SKA SKUL TAKEN non-stop its really annoying.

-Fix flag-juggling because people are still doing it. If it is fixed, tell them! I along with almost everyone else are sick of hearing Flag taken! Flag dropped! non-stop too!

-Very hard to tell teammates from enemies in Team Covy via Color.

-Spawn killing.....its out of hand.

-Make Team Slayer, Covey Slayer the Default for a vote if no one selects a game type, that is if they make it where it starts at 0 for every choice.

-A sound of some sort to signify the start of voting is very needed. Some players are on their guide, changing armor, etc and don't vote causing the first gametype to almost always be selected.

-Assassinations are set off by pressing not holding it seems, maybe add length to the start to determine press or hold

-If you aim at a player running with Active Camo on, their name will appear over their head, which makes it way too easy to spot someone using Active Camo by scanning the area with your cross hair.

-Some areas on individual player carnage reports are hard to read. (May depend on TV as I use a 1080p 32inch HDMI Flatscreen)

-Players should be set with other players in party chat if they are in partychat themselves. Players with no mics should either be put with a whole game of no mics or be used as a "last resort" when needing one player. Ex. Add no mics when its 5 v 6 and need one more but can't find one. Also this does not effect FFA.

-The Gravity Lift on Sword Base causes 1 Flag CTF to end too quickly. Maybe cause the flag to hold you down a little more or something because it ends too quick.

-The hit box seems to be a tad too small for headshots. This may just be an opinion or a proven fact as for now its just opinion.

-When the enemy steals your flag in CTF, the announcer says "Flag Taken" instead of "Flag Stolen" which may confuse players into thinking their team took the enemies flag.

Now, I don't have the Beta, so I'm not entirely sure as to how much farther the player will jump.

But doesn't it make sense that more momentum = farther jump?

I think its safe to say that anyone can jump farther with a running start

-You can stop assassinations. I don't know if this a glitch or not but this is a good idea so keep it!!!
-You can stop a sword lunge from killing you by hitting the enemy right before he hits you. Again I don't know if this is a glitch or not but keep it!
-You keep sprinting after you let the button go. This a good idea for non default controls but isn't good for default, this should only happen with non default!!
-It takes one punch to break full shields. This should be increased to two punches unless hit by a sprinter!

I've heard people wanting custom Loadouts and my first impression is: NO! It will be unbalanced! Well, here's my solution which would add a ton of variety and choice to the game:

Create a system in which each Weapon, Armor Ability, and Grenade has a certain number of points assigned to them. Say the Rocket Launcher takes 7 points, but you have a max of 10 and an armor ability is 3. The person wouldn't be able to select any grenades. Or the ability to choose between the DMR and the Assault Rifle. Maybe a grenade would be 2 points, or the cap would be different.

Mainly what I'm trying to get at is that this is a doable solution without screwing it up as in Call of Duty. Essentially you would be able to pick out your custom Loadouts that you set up, but it would be balanced by how many points you are using for that Loadout. Instead of being able to choose straightaway whatever types of Loadouts you want, you'd have a balance. A balance for players so you don't have to hear "I wish I could have started with a DMR instead of an Assault Rifle."

Since I see the DMR and Assault Rifle as very close in power, they'd have the same amount of points. 10 is just an arbitrary number. It could be 7, 15, 20, 25, whatever. But if each item and armor ability had points attached, the loadouts would be balanced.

I had this problem in Halo 3 as well, with the reticule, as well as "Player killed Player" messages. Whether it be on Sandtrap, Swordbase, Snowbound, etc.

I believe the reticule, while not necessarily needing to be darkened, could greatly benefit from a light black outline. Much like Halo 1 had a white outline around everything, including shields, ammo, etc.

A light black outline would mean I could see my light blue reticule in dark areas, but still have a darker outline for opponents against a light colored background.

Yeah. There's also a lot of things like that can hinder smooth gameplay but aren't really "bugs." OP, you could add a "Things that could be improved upon" section.

sprint is suppose to make you jump father/higher

the reason for the first strike medal being re awarded is because technically the round reset just like how the weapons re spawn in halo 3

1. After a round is OVER at one flag f.e., I always kill my teammates (for fun) but now it still count as a betrayal, and I can get booted... at kills it says f.e. double kill too... just fix that, it should be like at Halo 3.

2. If you leave a game, it counts like nothing for your win/loose stat, so many people quit when his team is just a little bit behind the leading team for getting a 100% winning quote... (STOP WITH THAT IT'S SO ANNOYING damn statwhores the stats will be resettet after the beta so -blam!- ON IT JUST ENJOY THE GAME), and the other guys who stay, have no chance anymore... please change that!!!

3. I'm playing on Bumper Jumper, and it sucks now... especially with the Jetpacks, (you are not able to fly and aim at the same time) please try to change it(or create a new playstyle), you only have to change the LB(Jump) with X(abillity) button (and maybe X(Jump) with A(Grenade change) so that it comes to: LB Abillity X Change grenades and A Jump, i think it would be the best playstyle to play with, because Jumping is not that important anymore (abillities are more important) and to come into A for jumping is not that hard ;)

I've got a couple UI issues that seem to occur pretty often.

-Sometimes, when you switch weapons or pick up a new one, it will show the new weapon with the ammo counter of the previous or they overlap. Ex: Holding DMR, pick up rockets, shows rocket as having 12 shots. Ex2: Switch DMR to Grav Hammer and it shows the 12 shots blended with energy bar.

-After booting a play for betrayals, the betrayal screen will stay up and you'll have to press 'B' in order to get out of it.
