Subject: Rate the Halo:Reach beta on a scale of 1-10 (BE HONEST)

(I never said it was completely irrelevant).

K/D ratio only matters if you play a lot of slayer.

Anyways, I would say that killing enemies is an important goal in achieving victory in objective gametypes. Typically on CTF if one team is able to control the other and trap them, then flag runs become trivial. Obviously the designated objective player is going to have a lower K/D because he's going to be targeted and not be killing nearly as often, but if you consistently out BR the enemy you're typically going to win the match because you can control the map.

And if that doesn't work out, I'm thinking about getting a gun and dealing crack. Being a crack dealer. Not, like, a mean crack dealer, but like... like a nice one. Kinda friendly, like, "Hey, what's up guys? You want some crack?"

9- Fantastic- can do with minor improvements

I was serious about what I said in response to your balance issues and I agree that there is some minor tweaking required but your original post seemed to say that the game was unfixable.

I really do hate Reach though lol.

I guess I should rephrase what I meant in the second quote there, I meant to say that K/D ratio is the only the chief contributing factor if you play slayer. It still matters in objective types but just isn't as important as W/L ratio.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

I put in average, only because I plan on buying it for the campaign. The Multiplayer has a good structure but needs a lot of work to fix things.

Right. Obviously if you're winning a statistically significant amount more than 50%, you're contributing to your team in such a way that you have an overall positive effect on your team compared to the "average" player at that rating (the goal of rating systems being that you are moved to the level where you have a 50/50 win ratio given a random pool of "equal skilled" players).

Voted 8 based on the description - couple of improvements needed. While I absolutely loved the experience - and probably more sheer enjoyment than the previous Halo multiplayers - there's still a lot I want to see changed. Besides the obvious bugs, there are a host of improvements both small and major that I think could go a long way to perfecting the final product.

8-you said it just right.

All in all, the strongest Halo yet. But it is just a beta, so many things need to be improved upon.

haha Bungie arnt that bad compared to Infinity Ward lets be honest

gtfo, you can't compare those two. EVER. This is a beta, I voted 8 because it needs a couple of improvements.

7- needs work. This is Bungie, it should be 9-10 every time. And if they know what's good for 'em, then they know what to change.

7. It's good. Needs polish though. Expected from a Beta, but I'm sure the full package WILL deliver.

"Halo 3 is inconsistent and Halo 2 takes more skill than Halo 3." - 2010 Orlando Champion, Roy, from team Instinct

Was being very honest when I voted 8.

Just sayin'

i voted 9 because they need some small improvements, but if they leaved it how it is i would still love it.

A community isn’t simply a group of individuals all acting in a common domain. It is a social structure based on mutual cooperation, and for that you need respect, decency, and honorability. Without them the ties that bind us are lost to a flood of egotism, washing away all that we have constructed here, depositing nothing more than a squalored anarchy. Play nice, my friends, or else you will find that you have no place worth playing in.

7.

Section 8 is more fun and Unreal Tournament 3 is more balanced, and while Halo Reach could be considered the bastard child of the two it fails to live up to either and so, despite the formula, fails to be anything special. Good, maybe, but nothing that I'm going to sacrifice my first born for.

Let me put it this way. When someone at Bungie said, "Hey. We should give people Recon for good deeds, etc."

I'll bet at least one person on the staff was like,"Bad Idea." That person was right.

Everything that is wrong with Halo 3 right here:

5. I was not impressed. This game does not feel like Halo. It may be a decent shooter, but it is NOT a Halo game, in my opinion.

9. Just needs minor adjustments to balance, general bug fixing and another layer of polish. Which they seem to be on top of anyway.

Halo:Reach - Where Awesome Happens

voted 7 because i enjoyed it, but find a decent amount of things off balance, including but not limited to vehicle fragility, head hit boxes, HUD visibility/set-up.

Were it so easy.

hmm 7.5-8

Good game, just has some flaws and things that are preventing this from being a 10. It has great potential.
