...Wouldn't the teamwork aspect make it so it ADDS catering to those who were competitive in halo 3 and people who love team games like rainbow six or gears of war?

No I don't have any Beta codes. Sorry :(

It caters to Bungie.

The full game will cater to us all because of the customization options, but right now, the Beta was designed as a lab experiment, and anyone with a sensible mind will not enjoy being a guinea pig.

I don't think Rainbow or Gear even = HCE. So if your comparing Halo now to those games. Your saying Halo is BAD.

This is a beta... the casual games are in free for all... like head hunter and all that jazz

When the final game comes out expect there to be plenty of things for everyone...

Want to invest? play the game
Want to be competitive? play arena
Want to be casual? play the casual gametypes they will more than likely provide
Want to keep complaining? go play something else.

I'm not comparing them to halo I was just saying that people who like team games similar to that will enjoy the team aspect of ranked matches... unless you want to lose

and of course gears doesnt require team work... but it was DESIGNED to... even though that failed... at the end of the day the more organized team in gears won MOST of the time

but my point was that reach has a little bit for everyone. dont let the beta be the final impression you have on the game...

It caters to the 70k people playing good job bungie. Halo 3 only has 150k people online. Good job making a game that less than 100k will play for more than a week.

I'm a CoD player and it caters to me...I greatly enjoy Reach. MW2 made me give Halo a chance again and I'm loving it. Of course, it has it's problems but overall it's a great game.

Off Topic: Canada FTW.

On Topic: I like Reach because it offers a change from Halo 3, which is fun but has grown stale for me. As always, Bungie will give us customization options so that we can tweak the settings to suit the way we each like Halo best.

the only reason they arnt trying to cater to those people is because what theyre actually trying to do is test different mechanics of the game and make sure everything is working properly and get it right

when the full game comes out:
want to have faster movement speed? higher jumps and higher base weapon damage? MLG will change all that

dont like shields? play swat

dont like armour abilities? play the classic playlist or MLG

want to play a fun gametype like race? go ahead

there will also be campaign in the full release along with a few surprises. you will probably find something that caters to your tastes. there will also be custom games with forge. make it your game
