The host migration are frequently and takes too long.
Reduce the spawn time because takes too long, like is not 3 seconds to spawn its more like 5 or 6...

The spawn locations, especially in the spartan base, need a lot better visual identification. Apart from the junkyard and the garage, the other ones just look like nameless boxes.

Slayer invasion, the whole back half of Boneyard (where the Covey vehicles spawn in normal) is ignored. Kind of a waste of space...

Yet another great gametype. The only problem I have seen (and so have others I assume since I do this sometimes but it doesn't seem fair) is after the elites capture the first point, their weapons spawn right where the spartans are. And if the spartans are good/efficient/fast enough to kill the elites who captured the first objective, they can just take the elites power weapons and run away to another candy store of their own power weapons. Maybe the elites power weapons should be on lockdown for a minute or so? Or the power weapons should spawn at the elites original spawn? Just making some suggestions. Otherwise I love the gametype!

Maybe if they included Generator Defense as part two of the gametype for Elites, then GN would have a proper place IMO.

"-In Invasion, not so much Invasion Slayer, there should be two rounds: one in which you play as a Spartan, and the next in which you play for the Elites (or vice versa). I've played 3 matches in a row where I was a Spartan, and I just wish I could have the opportunity to play on both sides. This could also extend the play time for Invasion, which community members have been asking for."

another idea i had was to assign weights.
when you first start playing you have a weight score of zero.
then after you play one game, you have a weight towards the opposed faction.
so if you have played once as Spartans in a row, you are more likely to be selected for the Elite team.

One shot 47 kills.

I absolutely LOVED the spawn on your wingman feature. For invasion this makes complete sense and is probably tied for my favorite improvement in the game with the armor abilities.

GT - lil shorty2024

Invasion Slayer needs the same Spartan spawn barriers that regular Invasion uses, or at least throw a notification onto the screen if there is an enemy nearby.

Great game type. As i said in the game type fourms I love the teammate respawn idea, but if could chose between respawning on your bro or your other indivdual teammates in ivasion games it would make more sence and also be less fursterating than haveing to spawn in the middle of nowhere and walk ot the firefight while being shot at by snipers from afar.

over all great idea just needs some tweeks.

A team-mate elite re spawned as a spartan still on our team- so while he looked like a Spartan, he was actually was gaining points for our side and everything. Totally a-la Spy from Team Fortress 2.

I hate that all the Spartans weapons spawn together. It just makes it easier for someone to whore all the sniper ammo or all the rockets. Or both. And the Elites (if they ever manage to break in which is rare) can do the exact same.

I personally like the Invasion playlist, its one of my favorites! The tweaks made were well deserved. But there are two things that would be nice on normal invasion:
1. After the core is unlocked, a closer spawn to the core room with the elites.
2.One more weapon drop as elites when the spartans can get the tank.
Other than that, I love it. Keep up the good work!

Boneyard needs to have objectives near the other side because it's completely unused in invasion slayer.

"Ive had it with this Forum!, I'm going for a scuttle!"

Invasion Slayer: Grenade Launchers in load outs are very Messed up. Elites aren't allowed to have a vehicle once this load out appears. Might want to tweak that.

Invasion is really good just needs a few things changed here and there. Like the sheilds around the human vehicles could be disabled because the spartans can steal the elites vehicles but it doesnt work the other way around because of those sheilds. Elitles can spawn kill the spartans but if the players are bad enough to let it happen then they would lose anyways. The last round of invasion could use an extra 60 seconds or so just because on the way out the core can get stuck in a few small places where the spartans can camp with shotguns and sheilds to slow down the cores movement very much so to completely.

I end threads.

Invasion is fun, and was one of the few great changes in Reach. However:

Spartans are OP in Invasion (because they are on defense and have overall superior weapons). Elites are OP in Invasion Slayer (overall better than Spartans early game, which is what matters in this gametype). Invasion slayer should be two rounds to 50 instead of one to 100. Invasion is fine, but the Scorpion shouldn't spawn so quickly in the third round, or just give the Elites two Wraiths to balance it out.

I actually don't mind the removal of the DMR, because it was only useful for the first 30 seconds of the first round before being useless for the remainder of the round. I usually camp entrances, anyway.

IMO the Elites need better late game loadouts that are specifically anti-vehicle. I've got many killing sprees and killing frenzies in a tank, and they shouldn't be one hit kills. I find it odd that the Splaser can't kill the Banshee in one hit, yet the Scorpion can, and the Elites can only jet pack above the Scorpion and hijack it as a counter.

Also, respawns take too long. If I spawn in a safe room, I shouldn't have to wait ten seconds to spawn.

Other than that, it's a great game type.

Fix spawn of Elite weapons after first phase. Most of the time Spartans steal the weapons as they are leaving. It would be nice if elites would get a second weapon drop after second phase. Spartans have 3 lasers 3 rocket launchers and 3 sniper rifles (I think it's three, not sure about junkyard spawn).

If Elites had a second drop taking out the tank would be easier. The wraith is useless against it and most time Spartans steal the first two plasma launchers.

personally i loved invasion. nice to have tactics in the game. both sides have their advantages/ways to play dirty. i want to see competitive play in this mode. think it would be interesting

Played Invasion Slayer before the beta ended. Its fun but not nearly as balanced or fun as regular Invasion. The match I was in saw the covenant team with a Wraith, Warthog and 3 Banshees AT THE SAME TIME. If Invasion, Slayer or not, is meant to be objective/team based game, why not spawn the vehicles behind protected barriers like regular invasion? What happens, and I'll admit its a smart tactic (cheap as hell, but smart) is that the opposing team will let us capture a point, then rush in and steal the drop. It not unfair in a technical sense, but its not FUN either. "IMO", I think the gameplay would be better served by:

- Vehicle types spawn/drop only ONCE until destroyed
- Vehicles spawn behind team specific barriers (whats the point of working that hard if the other team can just steal everything?)
- Maybe have specific locations for specific types of drops and whichever team claims the location gets the vehicle/weapon drop? It would definetly focus the gameplay and eliminate some of the "randomness" in this mode.

Theres already enough mayhem in the Slayer variant due to the "attrition" objective, but it didn't feel very different from the other "slayer-ish" gametypes. I think this mode could be just as fun as regular Invasion if the gameplay was more focused on some sort of objective. My ideas on that are listed above. As it stands right now, I'd rather play regular Invasion though.

Invasion is awesome! And the recent tweaks made it even better (The DMR disappearence for Phase I is barely noticeable if you know where to find the DMR spawn points, so that was a very good call). But there are areas in which I feel need more tweaks to make it more awesome.

Mainly for me, the lack of visible waypoint arrows or tags from a distance and opaque tags closeup for teammates really increased friendly fire toward me and from me, most commonly in tanks. Perhaps if you gave a yellow tag to teammates, a green for your Fireteam Buddy, and keeping the default blue for the NAV-Core and grey for the Weapon Drop Points in Invasion Slayer would help solve this.

Spawning was one of those minor, but awkward things for me too, but I'm sure many have said what I would've said anyway.

This one's more of a recommedation than a request, but during the late hours of the Beta, I found a lot of Spartans to play dirty like spawn camping the Elites at Phase I and much more inconviently, stealing their vehicles from their spawn points at Phase II & III. I'm thinking perhaps a shield door that allowed access to Spartans (Green) and Elites (Purple) in between the Commonwealth exclusively after Phase I would resolve such issues without totally restricting freedom for players, and giving the Elites a fairer chance with their own hardware protection.

I agree with soccerholic1816, the spawning is kind of aggravating. The counter goes down, I'm waiting to spawn in one of the spawn spots, and ... I'm still waiting. The time seems to be connected to the quality of the game connection, but I've had it take about 2 seconds past the countdown up to nearly a minute.

Yes, I've noticed this, and agree too. Perhaps if there was a delay before Elites recieved their heavy weapon spawns, it would give them time to clear out the Spartans before they nick the whole lot, because I've done it a lot, and the Elites don't get a very good amount of hardware, so it's not fair on them if they can't get their goodies if they're like a £1,000,000 laid on a tray in the middle of a busy street.

Their vehicles have become recent victims of Spartan theft too, but I've already stated my recommendation for that minor problem.

I think you guys have executed the final crushing blow in the battle between Call of Duty and Halo with this gametype. Bravo! And yet it can even be made better.... the concept in and of itself is brilliant. It sums up what makes Halo different in the best way. All you need to shoot for now, is realism. So, instead of just spawning on the ground at first strike, have the Elites in the Phantom, and have the Phantom drop off the Elites maybe behind a shipping crate, beyond the range of human grenades to prevent inevitable spawn killing. Also, if complimented at the end of the match with the ability to take the core INSIDE the Phantom, the Halo community will be stunned. As far as they are concerned, no other game can equal the reality and promotion of unpredictability that Halo will "hopefully" achieve in the final version of HALO: Reach. Small elements of reality magnify the mood, satisfaction, and level of teamwork to an unseen proportion that will take runner-ups like "Call of Duty", and "Bioshock" years to completely understand.
Loyal and all time Halo fan, Pat.
