The UI is great. The HUD is nice. My only complaint is that gun animations (The swaying from side to side when walking) seemed a little choppy when on a 47" HDTV. But in splitscreen it was fine.

Would like a vehicle damage indicator in the HUD. It isn't as apparent when the vehicle is near exploding as the damage sequence was in previous Halo's, especially in the banshee.

Some sort of odd icon issue I ran into:

In Stockpile, the flag icon above the flag (that is supposed to just be a flag) becomes a giant collection of icons (bomb, flag, etc) and random numbers. The icons and numbers are displayed in the form of a textbox.

I played as much of this as I could pretty much like everyone else did.

I think that the HUD should do one of the following:

1. Be darker, it seems to disappear when I look at certain walls, or shooting a jumpacker.

2. Allow us to change the opaqueness of the HUD, or even allow us to change the colors, this would be a great fix.

Radar is improved but there are several people talking about different colors for things I agree with them. Please change this.

Add a vehicle damage indicator, let me know when i am about to blow the hell up, so I can eject at all costs.

Post game Carnage Report, come on, change this, PLEASE!!! I know what most of the medals are, of course there are some new ones, but allow me to click on them if I want the description. Let me see how many of each medal I earned. Also explain the commendations better, what the hell is a technical feat, and what did I do to get it. EXPLAIN all this better, please, thanks.

Occasionally when you pick up/switch weapons the ammo/charge bar for the previous weapon will still be visible with the current weapon's ammo/charge bar at the same time.

I didn't see this on the Known Issues, but I thought people would have reported it by now.

Make the shadow for motion blips above you more noticeable, or use the campaign way and have it be a 3-D motion tracker.

On gametypes where you only have one class to choose from, like Spartans at the beginning of Invasion it should just automatically chose that class since there is no other option.

It was very hard to tell at distance wether a generator in Generator Defense was locked or not. I'm not even sure if this feature was present in the Beta. Nonetheless it should be displayed.

Health and Shield could be a bit larger. Sometimes it's very hard to tell in the heat of battle how much health you have.

Using the armor ability Evade while zoomed in with a weapon, will give you a weird zoom for the duration of Evade, then go back to the regular weapon zoom.

It's all about teamwork. :)

Im not quite sure if this falls under this category, but the Hammer Spree and Sniper Spree medals are just way to hard too tell what they are supposed to be, it's really difficult to distinguish the sniper cross hairs and the hammer.

I play on a pretty standard Toshiba tv. I can see the H3/ODST medals fine, just something about Reach, it's like a hazy veilo is over everything.

The only thing really I would change is the in game hud. I love how in odst it actually looked like you where wearing the helmet.
In reach your visor is clear and there is no lines or curves the the show the shape of your helmet visor. I think it would be great if it looked different or each helmet to.

I agree whole heartedly. I do not have a HD tv and it is rediculously hard to read just about all stats and text of anykind. All of the letters and numbers just blend together. Please fix this.

As said already, the remaining ammunition in BOTH weapons sometimes shows at the top right of the HUD instead of just the weapon selected.
Also, it's hard to see what your secondary weapon is (the light opaque blue color is hard to see) at the top right of the HUD.

on party screen instead of showing games won to games lost show k/d ratio, favorite weapon, division, etc. those all reflect ability and play style more than games played and games won

It should be more noticeable when we pick up health (sound or visual indication), or we shouldn't have to press a button to pick it up
It's a little annoying always having to check to see if I picked up that health or not. Wasn't there a health-pick-up sound in the original Halo?

UI is very nice, an overall K/D display next to the games won/lost would be cool. HUD occasionally glitched the magazine display (more than 4 sniper bullets for example) but everything else about it is great. i really like the new radar capabilities!

Luck.

-"Pummeled" is stupid. Why change that? How about "backsmacked" for old-style assassinations?

-Damage indicators are too careful. The shield shouldn't beep from just two DMR shots. Health shouldn't go red after minimal damage.

-The AR ammo indicator where bullets get removed from the top and bottom rows simultaneously is bad. If it removed from the top first, you would instantly see when your clip is not full, and estimating "half clip" would be easy.

-In general, I hope those ammo indicators are just placeholders. Rockets should have rockets.

-In all menus with two options, when you go back, the selection is moved to the one you didn't go back from. This is confusing and leads to you selecting the one you didn't want again (B-down-A).
