Burn Bright. Burn Blue.

There are a whole mess of reasons to celebrate this year. 2011 marks Bungie's 20th Anniversary. We've come a long way.

And you've been with us through thick and thin. We really couldn't have done it without you. So, as we prepare to become fans of the Halo franchise we created on the eve of its 10th anniversary, we wanted to offer you something to demonstrate just how much you've impacted us and the games we've made.

Burn Bright. Burn Blue.

Blue Flames and the Bungie Nameplate are no longer the identification of a Bungie employee. Now, they are a symbol of our thanks, marking you as both a loyal fan, a cherished community member, and yeah, someone who figured out how to register on Bungie.net and link their gamertag.

There are two ways for you to get powered up. Either download the Bungie Mobile app for iOS or use the registration applet on the front page of our 20th Anniversary hub. You have from right this second until the close of Bungie Day, July 7th, to light it up with Blue Flames.

We can't thank you enough for the last twenty years. Wear these flames proudly, as we have. Though this marks the final moments of our involvement in the Halo franchise, it is not the last time you will hear from our team. We have big plans for you, dear and faithful friends.

See you star side.

For the rest of our 20th Anniversary Festivities, check out the landing page (aka the Bungie.net homepage), or use the Table of Contents below.

Oh and in a timely throwback, a fan developer is creating a Marathon iPad port, which is totally sweet! In honor of his hard work and serious fan dedication, we're going to do something we should have done a long time ago (but didn't because our legal counsel "forgot"). We're going to make the final title in our Marathon franchise, Marathon Infinity, open source. Just like that. Bam!

Look for a link to grab the source code soon.

The developer has also graced us with a quick interview detailing the trials, tribulations, and tasty primates he went through in order to get Marathon up and running on the iPad. Click the Marathon icon in the table of contents above to check it out.
